The MANOIR PLESSIS BELLEVUE, which was formerly called ‘Château du Petit Puy’, belonging to Dr.Emile-Léon ALLIX (1836-1911), has been entirely refurbished and turned into a charming and stylish Bed and Breakfast by Véronique and Nicolas COQUEMA.

The Heraldic Dining Room for breakfasts and meals, four Historic Suites: LOUIS XIVth, LOUIS XVth, Regency, 1st Empire, combining modern comfort, free WIFI, flat screen satellite TV with DVD player, safe, Welcome Tray and all this with charm and stylish authenticity. The Suites and Rooms are all non-smoking and are equipped with smoke detectors.
Anxious for the environment, MANOIR PLESSIS BELLEVUE offers 2 charging stations for electric vehicles, one for Tesla vehicles and the other for conventional electric vehicles. The time of a stay to recharge the batteries.
The Manoir Plessis Bellevue also provides guests with a family Gîte
The 5th Suite is a family Gîte that is in the Blackwood Cottage and is the 3rd house on the ‘Domaine’. It is on 2 levels and on the ground floor has: a sitting room with a small kitchen and dining area, a bedroom with an en suite bathroom with wheelchair access shower, wash basin and WC. (This room is being adapted for the disabled during 2016). On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom (shower, wash basin and WC). This Gîte can accommodate up to 8 people.
All Suites are non-smoking.
The MANOIR PLESSIS BELLEVUE is set in 3,500m² of landscaped gardens with a selection of authentic, regional, French roses, pink camelias and two bicentinary cedars set in the middle of an ‘English lawn’.
In the landscaped gardens make the best of a 7.5m x 4m swimming pool and the Sun Bathing Area with have breathtaking views overlooking the Loire Valley and the town of Saumur, part of the UNESCO World Heritage with its ‘Château D’Amour’, belonging to the Kings Réné d’Anjou and the Plantagenet Kings of England. This Castle appears in the Historic Illuminated Manuscripts of the ’Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry’.
Poet, writer and French politician, a friend of Dr. Emile-Léon ALLIX, he stayed many times in this XVIIIth Century property. In « Le Belevédère » is the Salon VICTOR HUGO, where he would love to gaze upon the Loire Valley and which has been named in his honour. So that you can spend unforgettable days and evenings there are: French billiards, a Cigar Cellar,( vérifier car c’est une pièce pas une boite, sinon , si c’est une boite : en bois= a wooden Cigar Humidor)and a big-screen TV. Receptions, Wine Tasting Afternoons or Evenings and events can be organised on request. THERE IS ALSO A SMOKING AREA.
